Pacific Simulators Becomes Supplier of Cockpit Hardware

Pacific Simulators has diversified into the production of premium quality hardware to supply the global aviation training industry.

Principally known for its high-quality low-cost flight training devices, the company has re-positioned itself to take advantage of worldwide demand for cockpit parts and hardware.

Chief Executive Bill Highet says: “The recession has forced companies everywhere to reassess their business planning, and Pacific Simulators is no exception. A recent strategic review revealed that our most significant strength is the fidelity and reliability of our cockpit hardware; an analysis overwhelmingly endorsed by our existing customers. So we’ve moved swiftly to re-align our strategic direction to capitalise on this competitive edge in the new economic environment.

“Since our inception in 2006, we have declined a large number of requests to supply parts and hardware to key players in the industry; instead concentrating on the production of lower level FTDs. Now we are ideally positioned to partner with other industry leaders to deliver more targeted and sophisticated training solutions,” he said.

Pacific Simulators will continue to offer finished FTDs to the aviation training industry. But Highet said the company is confident the revised strategy will generate significant short-term growth through the establishment of new commercial relationships.

Pacific Simulators’ new parts catalogue features their renowned throttle quadrant, tiller assembly, dual yokes and many other leading-edge hardware.
